In the Ombudsman report Pratchler notes her office received 4,612 requests for assistance from the public in 2025, 3,756 being within the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction and 856 outside her jurisdiction. This represents a 13% increase from 2024.

In addition, the report focuses on ensuring procedural fairness in decision-making. This section notes six areas that a decision-maker should consider when making and communicating a decision.
