Provincial Disaster Assistance Program

  • “Fire-related losses are not covered, although in extreme cases the following assistance may
    be made for wildfires:

    • Dangerous tree removal; and
    • Pre-emptive measures to protect eligible property as the wildfire approaches, such as firebreaks, fireguards and sprinklers.”

  • City Campgrounds: The City of Prince Albert Exhibition is offering free RV and trailer campsites for evacuees at its campground.

  • Red Cross Shelter at Cosmo Civic Centre: 3130 Laurier Drive, Saskatoon
  • ChokeCherry Studios:
    • Shelter for youth 13-27 as well as donations for clothing, hygiene, harm reduction, in-house counselling, snacks and a daily meal.

Batoche

  • Batoche Festival Grounds (Métis Nation–Saskatchewan):
    • Open for evacuees who prefer to camp or stay in cabins/tents, especially elders and families. Meals and 24-hour security are provided. Registration is available at 1-877-Metis-SK.

Regina

    • Assists evacuees with regular donations of soap, toothbrushes, clothing, toys, pet food, snacks, gift cards, money, baby needs, etc.

Saskatoon (Evacuee Support)

    • Accepting toiletries, baby items, snacks, towels, and gift cards for evacuees in Melfort and surrounding areas, as well as James Smith Cree Nation.
  • Donations for Muskoday First Nation accepted at North East Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS) in Melfort – 306-752-9464.
